Thanks for the info on the voltage increase esp. concerning the Barricades. On a related note, where can we get the 14500 size 3.7V Li-Ion TrustFire rechargeable batteries (or something similar) as well as dummy AA batteries?
Lastly, to our friends celebrating Chinese New Year, Gong Xi Fa Cai to all of you and your families. And Happy Holidays.

The fastest and closest to get 14500 batteries is from www.black-tactical.com/storeOnce at the website, just click on Equipment then Batteries and Chargers. They accept paypal and normally I use dpex express which takes about 4 days arrive at your doorstep. I just use a wire with one open end (insert in the +ve polarity) and the other end with crocodile clip for the -ve polarity. Try this link and will show how the mod on barricade is done. modworks.blogspot.com/2010/09/nerf-barricade-mod-guide.html

Thanks for the advice and the link.
Just made an order a few minutes ago. Hopefully the batteries and charger will come in good condition.
One last question, Is ir correct that you are suggesting to use a crocodile wire instead of dummy batteries. Does it work well?

There is no good or bad at all. Even if you put a wire across the polarity is fine too. You just need to complete the current flow only. I'm just giving an example just in case you can't find the dummy battery only The layout of the battery slots are in series and will give you total of 4.5V if using normal AA battery.

Thanks again for the info. I was reading Mod-works concerning voltage increase for the Barricade. The writer/modder had advised to make sure that there are no exposed wiring when connecting the +ve and -ve (in a live circuit). I bought some small crocodile wires earlier, and once I get my mail-order from Black Tactical, I'd test the "modded" Barricade.

Unless you want to do the AR removal.

Stampede can hold 18V providing you have mod (AR removal, aftermarket spring installed) your blaster. Without mod then you will find that your stampede will shoot like there is no tomorrow once you trigger the plunger Not to mention chances of dart jam is high too. Recommended running about 15V-16V. Barricade running on 9V no problem at all as I did the test but it won't last long due to low mAH. I would recommend to use max voltage of 9V. let me add to that. the reason why the stampede fires non stop is due to the catch spring. u need to change that to a stronger spring. that should solve the firing non stop problem however, by increasing the voltage, u r increasing only the rate of fire ROF. that means u fire faster, but the range of your darts are still short. for that u need to change plunger springs and remove the AR. the above mods are IRREVERSIBLE and your stampede might not last as long as a non-modified blaster. so pls consider carefully before putting your $129 blaster under the knife

have fun in the mod. btw if I got the chance to meet you I'll show you my barricade. but at this moment my batteries haven't arrive yet sadnezz i already tried 2 trust fires in my barricade and the result is the blaster gives out this strange and noisy vibration, as if the flywheels are going to give way. i stopped the blaster immediately off course and i chickened out. went back to using 4.5v AA batts. takut

Mark,
that is normal as the flywheel continuous in motion once you switch your barricade on. bring the batteries over and tried on my barricade since I have modded my barricade.
