How to make a "Stefans"?

Hello everyone,
After searching the internet on how to make your own foam darts (specifically a Stefans), I wish to ask the forum's members and guests on whether anyone here has successfully made them.
And how was the performance compared to the standard NERF darts etc?
Additionally, where would one get all the materials to create a Stefans?
I hope we could all share the info. on this.

all the stuff you need is at Bebeland... well, except glue..

i made some but i didnt find them safe and because i dont want to shoot what i would not shoot at myself, it hurts too much..

Bebeland?? You mean Bebeland got sell Stefan??

ahaha no lah,
bebeland has some materials if you want to try making stefans.. they are some foam blocks for sale that you can try to cut up into dart shapes and then use glue and soft weights to attach to it...

stefans by definition are home made darts, so iguess you cant buy em' complete in stores..

Thanks Easyfox for the info. Out of curiousity, I assume you bought foam blocks rather than the Foam Backer Rod (FBR), thus making the job of producing a proper Stefan more tedious. I could not find any FBR so far at Hua Ho or Bebeland. Maybe I was looking for the wrong stuff and at the wrong section.

FBR is not sold in shops. even in sg. they are mostly sold in air-con shops cuz they are some type of insulation. if u ask me, you guys in BRUNEI are lucky. no need to make stefans cuz hua ho's SDL darts are just crazy cheap. but they cannot be used in clip fed blasters. so the next step will be to make SABOTS rounds.

what u need is pen type eraser refill and SDL darts and glue

1. remove SDL suction cup completely
2. cut the eraser to about 1.5cm long
3. insert the cut eraser tip into the foam dart and glue.

Thanks for the tip Mark, currently I'm just inserting and gluing cut straws into the nerf darts. It helps in maintaining a straight trajectory in most cases. But thank you for suggesting using dirt cheap modded SDL darts. I'll try to make some this weekend maybe...

SDL darts is dirt cheap and you can do lots of mod. Mark is showing the standard making of sabot darts. Don't forget to put padding in the front for reducing the impact.
